What is the minimum amount I can save?
Our members commit to saving a minimum of £3 per week, or £15 per month. There are plenty of ways to pay into your account, and we also offer our members an annual dividend based on the value of their savings, subject to approval at our AGM. Your savings will be fully insured by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) up to £85,000. Find out more about our savings accounts here.
How do I join 1st Class Credit Union?
It’s easy! If you work within the Royal Mail Group, including Parcelforce and Post Office employees, you can join us online here.
When can I apply for a loan?
When you join us and have made a payment into your own savings account, you’ll be able to apply for a loan of up to £20,000.

How long will it take?
Once you have made your first payment into your savings account you will be eligible to apply for a loan. A payment can be made as soon as your account has been verified, created and your member number issued. Get started by joining us here.
